Imagine you are strolling along a garden path on a warm sunshiny day. You find yourself surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of glorious flowers in the most vivid of colors and everytime you turn around, there is a new bloom bursting on the vine. Petunias in my garden make me happy and the very sight of this flower, brings a smile to my face. My wish is for you to feel this same way everytime you see a Petunia Posie.

My Petunias are playful, simple, creative, colorful, and whimsical. All are hand made by me using mostly vintage materials. Each one is made from 80 to 100 year old European hand spun linen which gives them a very textural look and feel that I love. Their bodices are made from vintage fabric, mostly cotton grain sacks and pillow cases. Their skirts are created from vintage hankies and their hair is made from bits of vintage felted wool pieces that have been hand embroidered in place. Each one has her own personality with hand stitched eyes and machine stitched smiles. Every Petunia wears a stitched heart and my intitials are embroidered on their bottoms. Petunia Posies are not intended for children to play with, but can be loved by all. I hope you find a Petunia that evokes a small piece of happiness within your heart.
