Iva Pearl





Iva Pearl is another one of my favorites. She wears all colors that I'm so in love with, creams, taupes and pink. She looks so wise, confident and elegant. Her crown is created from vintage flocked wallpaper and her wings are bendable and made of old pattern tissue paper, sprinkled with clear glass glitter. Her wool bodice is accented with a silk ruffled collar. Tiny scallop trim and seam binding dress up her sleeves. Mother of pearl buttons and pink velvet rick rack finish off the top. Her gown is made using a creamy colored hankie with the sweetest pink, cream and green tatting. Above that, is an old ivory, frilly doily, vintage satin , a second doily which I handstitched pearls onto. To top off the gown, is a gathering of pink petals from an old hat, strips of torn satin and dupioni silk ribbon, centered with a tiny vintage rhinestone pin. Iva holds her ladybug, jar of fairy dust, and vintage brass cup to scoop out more. Her legs are wrapped in old thread in variant shades of cream and taupe and her sparkly cream fairy shoes match perfectly. Iva's wand is a flower created from wool, old text, silver glass glitter and two old buttons stacked together. Just devine!
