Elegant whimsy, I think, describes this little pocket perfectly.  I can imagine a fairy queen, dressing in her finest for the grand ball.  She has slipped on her dancing shoes, glittering jewels drape off her neck and her gold crown sits just so upon her head. She needs the perfect little purse to bring it all together to carry all her necessaries.  She rummages through her collection and pulls out this one--perfect! 

The base of the pocket is from a beautiful, sparkling,vintage pink and gold fabric made in France.  The flower includes a rhinestone button, wool from an old blanket and satin edging off yet another vintage blanket from my stash. Vintage white velvet leaves accented with green stitching completes the flower.  The bottom of the pocket is finished off with vintage pom pom trim.  For the top, olive green satin ribbon was sewn around the edge and two little pink felted beads, accented with brown sead beads resemble the closures of old coin purses.  The handle is made from vintage gold thread, adorn with seam binding, a mother of pearl button and an old rhinestone finding. All measuring roughly 10" x 6-1/2" (including handle).  An elegant addition to any ball gown fit for a queen, don't you think?
