This is one of my favorite pockets I have made--I like the color combination and the simplicity of the pocket itself.  Quite a few years ago I found  a vintage quilt made from hankies sewn onto a fun vintage fabric---I have a love of old hankies, so of course I could not pass it up, knowing it would be perfect for a variety of projects!

  I used a piece of the quilt for this posie pocket.  It measures 5"w x 6"h.  The lining on the inside is the same fabric as the bottom fabric on the outside.  I hand stitched the word "lovely" and hand stitched a fun border of scalloped blue wool and an old vintage linen  scrap.  The flower is made of old pink wool and olive green lace with a vintage blue button from France.  The handle coordinates well, using velvet green ribbon and pink vintage buttons.

A lovely pocket to display and hold those special trinkets!
